A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer

5.0

A more surprising and constructed story of the fate of Emberfall

I honestly loved this book. I have to admit that after the first one, which disappointed me a little, I wasn't so eager to continue. However, I was charmed by Grey and Lia Mara way more than Rehn and Harper. The two protagonists have more depth and are more interesting and driven. They both fight for what they believe in, and most importantly, they grow a lot during the book. The universe is still as interesting, especially with the development of magic and creatures. The story was sometimes a little predictable, but the author managed to surprise me several times and I was trembling with emotion for the last few chapters.

An amazing sequel, very promising for the upcoming release.
