The Warsaw Orphan
by Kelly Rimmer
This is the sequel to The Things We Cannot Say, which I loved. I wish I’d read it more recently though, because Emilia was fuzzy in my memory. Still, this could be read as a stand-alone novel. It is a moving, courageous story of the Resistance and the after-effects of war. I have read a few too many WWII books lately, so sometimes I had to put this down, but I came to love these characters, and wouldn’t mind a third book at all. Highly recommend this author!
