I received this ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this advance copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book tells the story of two college students: the billionaire-heir playboy Damian and the studious math geek Lexi. Lexi despises Damian, but when a desperate situation forces her to fake-date him, can they make it through their charade without disaster?

I have a couple of gripes about the book straightaway. The dialogue falls flat for me, particularly in the first half of the novel. Even though it was used to establish important relationships and give necessary exposition, it feels forced and drawn out. Also, the way Damian continues calling Lexi 'Blondie' didn't sit well with me. That nickname felt insulting to her.

Now, let's move on to what I loved about the book! Overall, it was an enjoyable and humorous read. The characters were believable and human, and my emotional engagement in their journey motivated me to finish the novel. I like how
Damian gradually realizes the error of his ways, and how Lexi does not mollycoddle him and calls him out for being a douche.
Also, the dialogue and storyline vastly improved in the second half, making the story more compelling. And the confession part was so adorable!

Overall, I thought the book was a compelling read, despite its faults. Definitely worth sticking with it until the conclusion, especially to find out what happens to Damian and Lexi's relationship!
