the first half of this book was just downright boring. i needed to know how tennis worked, but other than that, i didn't want the entirety of carrie soto's childhood tennis career. however, i loved nicki chan and bowe and the later half of the book, how engrossing it was. recommend for fans of tennis, and that's about it. still good, but my least favorite tjr i've read.
