I wanted to read this before watching the new series on BBC one and glad I did! I watched the first couple of episodes when I was about half way through the book and although the show is great the book adds so much detail to really build the world. I strongly suggest reading and watching almost along together as each story is quite confusing but between the two formats you get a clearer picture of what is going on. I am looking forward to the rest of the series in both book and tv show form!
