I can’t quite say what this book means to me. Sometimes books find you right when you need them. I started this wanting to read a delightful, witty romance (it is), but it’s also a love story about family and caring for someone with dementia. I started this just after losing my grandmother to dementia, and though it was hard at times, it was the story I needed. I cried (at least three times) and laughed (way more than three times) and marked down several things I wanted to remember (and I almost never annotate books. I’ve read Abby Jimenez before and really enjoyed her writing, but this is the one that’s going to stay with me.
