Luckiest Girl Alive
by Jessica Knoll
To be honest I'm not entirely sure what made me want to read this. I kept seeing it everywhere I went. Kind of like it was staring at me. I'm not sure if you've ever felt that way but it's happened to me on more than one occasion. So when I picked it up I hadn't heard anything about it. I didn't know what to expect and I had no expectations. When I started it I realized the chapters were long.
I like short chapters makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something when I can get to chapter 50 of 100 lol. Plus the chapters where Ani is an adult for me where kind of lack luster plus it seemed to me that she was a little psychotic. She had to make sure she was feeling what everyone thought she should be feeling. I really liked the chapters of her in highs hook though.
I think that's why I powered through. I definitely wasn't expecting a lot of what happened to happen. The last two hundred pages or so were really good and went super fast. All in all I liked the book but the beginning did drag for me. But it was definitely needed to get to the rest of the story.
