Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr
3.0
I finally got around to reading the sequel to Wicked Lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed Wicked Lovely and was excited to finally get to Fragile Eternity. Things in the faery courts have continued since Aislinn was made Summer Queen. At the start of this novel Aislinn is working on how to balance her mortal world (mainly Seth) and faery world/obligations. As the balancing act seems to be more difficult the tension between the courts heightens and decisions are made that can affect the future of faery.
As you may see from the dates I read it, this took me almost three months to finish. Yes, I had other books going and I was busy, but it was also because I found it really hard to get in to the flow of this book. In the first installment, I cheered for Seth to win Ash over and was looking forward to that storyline again in this book, but found it lagging. In addition, I didn't find that the storyline pulled me in until about 2/3 through the book.
Of the three Melissa Marr books I've read, Wicked Lovely is still my favorite.
