Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan

5.0

I listened to this audiobook for Booklist and depending on how my editor feels, I'll be giving it a starred review. Why? Because this narrator is just so perfectly suited to this book and its main character, Leila. You can read all about it in my review in Dec!

As for the book, I really enjoyed it. I like Leila a lot as a character. She's got a wonderfully dry and sarcastic wit, she's into theatre and scifi movies, she's dealing with girls (and boys), and feels like she's living in the shadow of her older sister. I loved Farizan's previous novel and this is just as wonderful. She really has a knack for writing believable stories and realistic characters and has probably just become my new go-to for lesbian YA fiction. I look forward to more of her novels, especially if Farsad continues narrating their audiobooks!
