You Have a Match
by Emma Lord
I love Emma Lord! She is one of my favorite YA authors, and I'll read anything she writes, but this was probably my least favorite books of hers. It is light on the romance (not necessarily bad, but not what I was expecting), and the family drama is the central story line.
I actually thought the way the plot unfolded with Abby's secret sister was well-done, and I was intrigued by the twists and turns. I kept wanting to know, why did Abby's parents give up her sister for adoption? And why didn't they tell Abby?
But the romantic story line frustrated me. It could have been solved by a single conversation, but the drama kept getting dragged out, and the more it continued, the less believable it was.
Anyhow, I still enjoyed this book, still raced through it, and still can't wait for the next book I read by Emma Lord!
