“It is sad that he is dead, but it hasn’t made me sad. And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go and help solve his murder.”
The Thursday Murder Club [Richard Osman]
It was a slow start but well-worth the push to read through. This is a plot driven story set around four elderly protagonists living in a retirement home. If you ask me there isn’t a better setting for a club of four people to investigate old murders and ones happening right under their noses. I think despite it being a slow paced book, the author did well to keep it interesting small (1-4 page) chapters helped with this.
I appreciated that the end of the book was not what I expected and the extract from the next book made me keen to keep reading about this Thursday Murder Club.
