Here's the thing: I first read this book over 15 years ago. I've had an inkling to go back and reread books that I loved when I was younger. Much to my surprise, I remembered EVERYTHING about this book. So, as a reading experience, it wasn't super enjoyable. That said, this held up far better than I would have guessed given the subject matter and time it was written in.
