This book was slow to start because of the world building and history, but it picks up around the 70% mark. This also isn’t my usual type of read, but so far I’ve enjoyed it. I am planning to continue reading the series with friends, so I’m excited to see where it goes, especially knowing a hint of what’s coming. I also appreciated watching the FMC start deconstructing her brainwashing. 4 stars
