Okay I read this in like two days and couldn't put it down so I read until like 2am. This wasn't perfect (the writing had some errors again) and while some conversations just seemed odd and weirdly put together, others were so enlightening and good??? I did not expect it being actually a really thrilling read when I put the first novel in this series down.
To the reviews saying that the second novel has even less plot than the first: ????? Not true imho. The second one was so much better from the start! Spice, thrill, battle scenes, some love, friendship and family themes - great!
Still a bit on the nose when it comes to what the plot twists are gone be tbh. That could have more suspense, cause I'm already guessing a lot of what's to come. Definitely a plus on the world and character building for this one!
Poppy and Casteel still annoyed me quite a bit with theirpretending shit. That dragged a bit and then they turned it around so fucking fast??!
Anyway this was really good and I could actually endure the writing inconsistentencies way better than with the first. On to the third!
