Vera and the Vegas V is the perfect book for fans of Pack Darling and Baby + the Late Night Howlers and Lola & the Millioners.

This omegaverse story had a very sweet and contemporary vibe that made the whole thing very refreshing and easy to lose yourself into. I couldn’t put this book down and ended up reading it in less than a day.

The story follows Vera, a profesional soccer player omega, who joins a new team in Las Vegas, and meets the perfect pack for her along the way.

This is a medium-fast burn story, so relationships happen pretty quickly. But it worked because each relationship felt unique and the pacing and development was different for each of them. So it didn’t feel too fast at all, and I found myself caring about the characters and their relationships.

The diversity in omegaverse stories is usually excellent but I feel like Vera and the Vegas V took it a step further and gave us new things to enjoy. Especially when it came to Gus, a non-binary Alpha, who was assigned female at birth, but didn’t identify as male or female.

Gus was sweet, charming, funny… they were absolutely perfect, and their connection with Vera felt the most real and based on more than just physical attraction. It was such a nice surprise to find out that in this sweetverse, Alphas who are assigned female at birth have a retractable member that comes from the clitoris when they are aroused. I found it fascinating, and reminded me of the female alpha lock from Bad Alpha. One of the things I love the most about omegaverse is how each author creates their own rules, it’s fascinating and you never know which interpretation you’re reading next.

It may be weird for some readers, but I personally loved Gus and everything about them.

Then we got Orson and Emory. They are an Alpha/Beta MM established couple within the pack. And they were hot af, my friends. Orson with his mustache and motorcycle and big hands… just ugh yes daddy. And Em being described as the most attractive man Vera had ever seen. Yes, thank you. May I get some more of that incredible hot sandwich?

I loved the fact that we got a hot nerd in the pack!!! He was good with computers (*tries and fails to make sexy eyebrows at you*), wore thick-rimmed black glasses and had secretly hot abs and the biggest dong and knot in the history of omegaverse. What else can you ask for??? Diego was also Hispanic and he called Vera his amorcito, which was fucking cute. They were really sweet together and their nerd jokes were great. Also, I love my girl Vera, she went for the biggest knot in the pack for her first time. She was a Go Big or Go Home type of girl and I respected that.
