While I flew through and loved the first book in this series, I struggled a bit with this one. Which isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy it, just not as much as the first one. I enjoyed getting to meet more of the side characters in depth and thought it was a clever way to set-up the spin off novellas on those characters, which I do plan on reading. 

 

However, I feel the pacing on this was slower and the book had some unnecessary fluff instead of jumping into the plot and action like the first book. Overall, I enjoyed the duology and am looking forward to more.
