This was part of my project this year to each month read a book with that month in the title. It was a pretty good pick for that, and I think some late elementary/tweens might like it more than I did. I generally liked the plot, but found the main character a bit annoying towards the end and wished the denouement had been a bit longer. On the whole, satisfying but forgettable. I liked that it included multiple appendices of resources on the various topics from the story--more middle grade fiction books should do that.
