The List of Suspicious Things
by Jennie Godfrey
4.5/5
Pros:
So wholesome, innocent and touching. Really interesting to see the events of the time through a child’s perspective. The characters are vivid and well developed.
Loved the West Yorkshire representation. Seeing the areas I’ve lived near/been too was lovely to read.
Cons:
The ending was a bizarre whiplash that I didn’t think was necessary, the story was engaging and didn’t require the shock factor. Hence, why I’ve given it 4.5 stars rather than 5.
