The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

2.0

A young adult novel with a female protagonist, clearly written by a man who does not understand women, especially young women. Any time the book followed the male character (yes, it switches between chapters throughout the entire thing), it is actually interesting and compelling. Yes, a sci-fi YA novel that is gritty in that special way that YA novels can be. But when we follow Callie? It is cringe-worthy.
