Books like this are a guilty pleasure of mine. They aren’t objectively good, but I do truly enjoy them. Out of this whole series so far, this book took me the longest to read. I was getting a little bored. It felt like it dragged on a lot in the middle. I’ve never loved the possessive “male” themes in these types of books. Wish the book would have less of that. I also didn’t love the random comments saying things are sexist and talking about the patriarchy. It felt very forced and out of place. There are ways to make those points without it being thrown into your face. I don’t know, the way she would randomly should, “that’s sexist” just felt so weird. It’s your world, why are you writing sexism into it? Over all, I did enjoy it and I will definitely read the next book.
