It's not that bad of a book. With classics, it's a toss up, and this book gets mixed reviews. It's a staple in the classroom, and parts of it are written well. If you want to enjoy the book, you have to do your own extrapolating passed what a standard English teacher would want and you'll have to break it up. You will not understand or want to read every single word, so you'll miss some things while skimming. It could be much worse.
