The Many Deaths of Laila Starr by Ram V

5.0

A beautifully poetic and philosophical parable of life and death. The vivid colours burst from the pages and brought Mumbai to life with a blend of Indian folklore and magical realism. The artwork and poetry excerpts were stunningly beautiful. I don't think I've read a graphic novel with such gorgeously lyrical prose woven with the panels. The perfect kind of read that catches you off guard and surprisingly blows you away with its brilliance.
