With mediocre writing, dated character archetypes, and badly written action Vampire Hunter D: Volume 1 was a disappointment.
The world-building, technology, and creatures were fascinating and well done.
It was worth reading the novel that inspired the amazing film.
I still do not know if I will continue reading the series.
