A Taste of Sage
by Yaffa S. Santos
The only good thing I can say about this book is that I like that the protagonist is Dominican (yay diversity!) and has an adorable name (Lumi). I thought the main hero was an antagonistic git (why do we consistently reward men for the “I’m a talented genius so I get to be an arsehole whenever I want to be” trope) and the book took a really weird turn with the supernatural “I-can-taste-your-feelings-when-you-cooked-this-dish.”
