I read this book after Throne of Glass (for those reading this series for the first time, I'd recommend reading Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, THEN The Assassin's Blade. That way there's a bit more context for these short stories and why the history of each story is important. I loved getting to know more of Celena's backstory and how she got to where she was after ToG and CoM. And it's THAT MUCH BETTER in the context of the entire series. Just wait, you'll see!
