The Wicker King
by K. Ancrum
"All virtues not granted at birth are taught to you by life, one way or another."
If I only had one word to describe this book with, I would say it's important. I don't want to give out too many spoilers, but I feel like this is a very important and thought-provoking read that more people need to pick up. There are all sorts of different mental illnesses portrayed in this, and it was honestly kind of scary to see just how bad things can get for people. Obviously this is a work of fiction, but what was portrayed in The Wicker King were very real and very serious conditions.
I read this with the Dragons & Tea book club, and I'm so glad that I did.
