This plot was all over the place, the story was very unpredictable. I wasn't a fan of the romance, step-siblings hooking up isn't my thing. I found all 3 children to be annoying and while poppy was interesting at 1st she quickly became very annoying. I also was annoyed at the fact that I didn't know if she was 9 or 10 because the authors couldn't decide. The events in this story were cringey, moronic and unrealistic. Furthermore I read blindly so I had no clue what this book was about. I just found 3 books with similar titles and I was in. I was immediately appalled by the storyline then they waved Bora Bora in my face and I was very interested. I suppose if I had a read the tag line I would have guessed that we weren't going to make it to Bora Bora, but it still pissed me off being stuck in LA with these idiot teens and their little sister. I finished because I wanted to know what happened and it was a short book. I won't go as far as saying I wish I could unknow the events of this story but I was repulsed by them. I don't understand why they write books like this, who let's their kids read this crap? They wouldn't be able to watch it as a movie so why is it encouraged as a book? These authors apparently write television shows and have been friends since 7th grade. Honestly this book reads like a bad made for TV movie, plotholes included. It was kind of like the movie Kids but with money, travel, and less diversity.
Recommend to others?: No. This book isn't it.
