This is the story of Trapper Montgomery and Brea Bradley. You may remember Brea as Frankie's best friend in the "Unblocked" series. Marnie Mann continues her brilliant writing in this gripping story of a man that never thought he would be able to love a woman so deeply or at all. His past rooted in such tragedy, it's amazing he functions daily. He's a professional poker player by day and runs a place called "the compound" by night. Brea is finally ready to start living again after losing the man she loved two years ago. Everything changes for both of them after meeting at Frankie and Derek's masquerade party. With their masks on, passion runs deep in their first kiss but will his secrets tear them apart before she can truly understand the why of it all?
We also get a peek into Frankie and Derek's lives, which makes me long for more plaid shirts!!!

The story is extremely emotional. Just start reading and the prologue grabs you and makes you see how horrible Trapper's life started out. It's tragic and then rewarding, satisfying, sexy and BRILLIANT! I am a HUGE fan of this author and am convinced that whatever she writes will have me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next. If I could have given this one more than 5 Stars, I would have.
