Faithfully Different: Regaining Biblical Clarity in a Secular Culture by Natasha Crain
5.0
I’ve followed and enjoyed Natasha’s insights on social media for a while, but had never read any of her books. When this new one came out I decided to take the plunge and give it a read. I’m so glad I did! Her biblical take on secular society was something I desperately needed. It can be disheartening when you’re bombarded with a secular culture that feels hostile to your beliefs, so it was nice to retreat into a book that helps remind you why you’re holding onto those beliefs and how we can avoid the traps of our popular culture.
Natasha clearly researched well for this book, and gives a wealth of recommendations for further reading if you want to dive more into the topic. And while she knows her stuff, so to speak, she writes in such a relatable way you never feel like you’re out of your depth while reading her book.
Natasha ultimately confirms that yes, it’s really hard to live in this culture sometimes. But it’s not hopeless, because God is in control, and we are not alone.
