The mood of the book or rather the emotions that Esther goes through are not something that someone can read through. They are complex, sad, depressing. The spiral that she goes down can make anyone uneasy. This is not an all season book. But really the writing is so good, the thoughts so nicely articulated and traversed. The writing made me feel like I sailed through this book. I don't know if there were deep messages that I was supposed to grasp while reading it. I did notice the themes and topics she meant to be noticed. As the saying goes 'I support women's rights but more importantly I support women's wrongs.' And I do support her and this book and the topics that it explores and just women writing about themselves, no matter how unhinged they are thought as. Loved it.
