I’ve sat with this one for a while. Mostly because I wasn’t sure how i felt about it but also because parts of the story were hard for me to read for personal reasons. It’s good. Not Big Little Lies good. But this is a different type of book. I wasn’t sure what the stakes were until late in the second half and even then, it had that feeling that it wasn’t going to be that big of a deal. And it wasn’t. But the lack of suspense was saved by great character development. Probably closer to a 3, but rounded up because I’ll read everything Moriarty writes.
