2018 Re-Read to Follow the Binge Mode Podcast: This book, aside from being a wonderful mystery/fantasy novel for children, opened up my whole worldview. It's the book that made me open my mind to greater possibilities, and to look beyond the mundane.
I listened to it on audiobook by Jim Dale and found it very enjoyable. I will say that while his narration is very good and warm, some of his character voices are dreadful. Hermione has never sounded so dumb, with her slow speech and dopey voice: "OHHH HAAAAAAAAAY-REEEEEE."
I may try Stephen Fry some day to compare the two.
