The concept was interesting, and I love a city book (where it's set in a specific city, and the city is more than just a backdrop) but it turns out I don't care that much about LA. It also (so far) had a very "gangs vs cops" narrative that I can't get behind, and there there's a lot of preoccupation with determining gender of the "exes." The last straw for me was when I realized that every introduction of a woman or female zombie included calculating their sexiness. 🤮
