A Pale Light in the Black by K.B. Wagers

For the most part I found this enjoyable. The sci-fi aspects were interesting with some ideas incorporating advanced technologies mixed with old style solutions which seems more realistic for the way we humans invent and use things.

Definitely a soft entry into contemplating society with open approaches to gender fluidity. I liked the ideas, and appreciated that the focus of the book was sci-fi, not graphic sex -- something that I wish more non-sci-fi writers would consider.
