I've been a fan of Dean Koontz's work, books and writing for many years now, "Watchers" was my first adult book that I read and since then I've devoured novels like "Phantoms", "Mr. Murder" & "Midnight". "Twilight Eyes" I could not finish, because I found it way too dark for me to handle. But I am very familiar with his work and his special, phenomenal style. And this book was indeed something else! <3

THOUGH(!) I have to say, that this was not a supernatural book which it seemed, especielly after I had read the text on the back of the book, which disappointed me. I don't mean to spoil, but I assume that many other horror and ghost-story fans out there, like me, would want to know if the book they think is supernatural and paranormal in fact isn't.

This was more of a criminal, psychological thriller, though it of course was spooky at times since the reader thought it was something paranormal! And some things didn't get an explanation, which was anticlimactic to me. Some parts were also longwinded to me, and I got a bit tired of all the long police parts of the book, but overall I really really liked it!

This book was thrilling and exciting, it grabbed the reader by the heart, both romantically and thrillingly, and it was very wellcomposed with many twists. I loved the relationship between Tony and Hillary, and I did have a little bit of a crush on Tony ;) He seemed like the perfect, sweetest man!! <3

After having read this book, it felt like I had watched not a whole movie, but a whole TV-series, with several seasons and countless episodes! It felt like I had seen it all with my own eyes, maybe even lived through it. Yes, it feels like I've been an invisible observer of these weeks that Tony, Hillary, Frank and many others have lived through in this book. That is a marvelous feeling for sure! And a proof of what a good book this is, despite its minor flaws. Because when you get into it, and perhaps don't expect anything else than what it is, it's a real treat!
