The Witness by Nora Roberts

4.0

This is one of the few Nora books I have delved into aside from her In Death series written as J.D. Robb.
I am beginning to see an appeal to step into the written as Nora Roberts books with this one.
Loved the characters, there was some suspense and romance. The romance did not get cheesy like I've felt it did in another book of hers I read. The only big negative for me is I was hoping for more from the suspense side of things. There was some build up with the suspense of why she ran away, but it kind of fizzled out. Though from what I've read so far of Nora she tends to focus more so on the romance and everything else seems to take a far backseat. Like in those old station wagons where the seats are facing out the rear. So you get some snippets but it can feel incomplete.
If you are looking for a big romance with a little substance it is a good read.
