Piper Peavey is sent to live with her estranged mother at the Mallory Estate, when her father is too I'll with cancer to look after her. She meets several other children, who all have magical powers and they help her to realise her own abilities, before setting off on a quest to find an elixir in the garden that could help her father.

The secret garden meets X-Men.
