The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton
3.0
This kept me engaged until close to the end — I thought the plot was more surprising and less predictable than the Lake House. I really enjoyed reading Elodie and Lily/Birdie’s perspectives much more than the other characters. Elodie and Lily felt more complex than the rest of the characters, who fell flat next to them. Lily’s modern sections made for particularly interesting reading, and I wish more had been done from there.
