Damn this book was SO realistic it was jarring…the heavy emotions, the hating oneself, the friendship drama and school and pressure and family and just EVERYTHING a teenager has to go through…13/14 is probably one of the THE WORST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE…well certainly mine!
Shannon had to deal with SO MUCH trauma and no one to help her and idk how she managed to just start deciding to learn to love herself but I’m glad she learnt she’s enough and doesn’t have to change to please anyone!
Glad the book had a hopeful ending!
Love this series and such important books for kids and teens and even adults!
I definitely think teachers/librarians any adult who reads this should discuss is with students who have read it coz dealing with complex emotions and telling them it’s okay to feel and being sensitive isn’t a bad thing etc
