Mr. Broody
by Piper Rayne
I’m a sucker for a single dad romance, but this book did me one better by combining that with a hockey romance and a swoony second chance romance. I was immediately hooked. This book was delightful, heartwarming, and absolutely adorable! Not only did it give us Daddy Henry, who I’ve been feral for since the first book, but we also got chapters from his son Bodhi, and they will literally melt your heart. Jade and Henry’s relationship was so real and believable. I loved the flashbacks to their past, because I felt like understanding their history made me root for them even more. When they finally did run into each other again, it was obvious that their feelings for each other never went away, but they moved slowly to protect themselves and Bodhi, and I loved them for that. I was lucky enough to receive an ALC as well as an ARC, and the full cast audio is completely amazing! They did such a great job embodying these characters! I highly recommend this slow burn hockey romance about childhood sweethearts finding their way back to each other.
