A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

(Audiobook). I’ve been hearing about this book for years and somehow it did not appeal to me. It sounded like yet another highly unlikely too good to be true YA high school drama to me. But how wrong could my judgement have been. This might be my favorite book I’ve read in a long time. I have to admit, the only reason I started this book was because I wanted to pick an audiobook that I probably would not want to read as a physical copy. Funny thing that I bought the book when I was only a few chapters in. Clearly I was hooked from the start. Even though Pip is still in high school, the story did not feel childish and superficial. I loved how the progress of the research was described (progression logs, additional documents), it almost felt like I was solving the murder with her. I also fell in love with Ravi, what a perfect guy he is. The book was surprising and thrilling till the end. I’m excited to start the second book in the series, since I have no idea how the story would continue!
