i'm so conflicted.
the magic system was very interesting and i enjoyed many of the intricate scientific elements... but it was a pretty slow plot, there wasn't much actually *happening*. i disliked every character and yet their philosophical discussions and physics theories and dialogue was at times stunningly fascinating.. i don't know. i both loved it and hated it .
