I have some mixed feelings about this. While I enjoyed it well enough and didn’t want to put it down constantly or anything, it felt very incomplete even for the first book of the series. I left this book thinking that nothing really happened until the last 20% so it honestly felt like  a lot of prologue/filler then a cliffhanger to get you to read the next one. At the end of the day it was a fine book but I’m not sure I’ll invest more time in this series. But it was a quick read with dragons and what seems like it will become a cool magic system
