The Prophet of Yonwood by Jeanne DuPrau

It wasn't as good as the other two books, but it was still a page turner. I thought it was going to deal more with what caused the huge disaster that wiped out most of the earth. Instead, it shows a small town trying to understand and live with the threat of massive destruction. What happens if a citizen has a vision of the future? What happens if some of the citizens believe that God will prevent the disaster or protect the town if people follow a strict set of religious laws? What if others don't believe those directives are from God?
