4.25

This is a slow-moving, reflective look at life and meaning. The main character is both broken and incredibly driven, both sentimental and moved by beauty while compartmentalizing many other difficult emotions. I read this book for book club and having people to talk about it with improved it, particularly the discussion of how the ambiguity of the ending fit the book thematically.

It is a well-done book with some beautiful lyrical prose, but don't expect things to be resolved all tied in a bow.
