I have so much to say...
First of all, I hate Clary as a character. She really shouldn't be the protagonist of this series. There are no redeemable qualities about her. The only reason why I'm still reading this series (and will finish it) is that I already have all the books.
Second of all, the fact that all it took forJocelyn to come back is a book is ridiculous to me. Saving her mother was Clary's #1 priority during the series so far. However, all that we see is Clary giving the book to Magnus, and then Jocelyn's back ... It feels like it was the simplest things in the world, but I clearly remember people saying no one knows what Jocelyn took, and how to wake her up . I guess, if we got Magnus' POV of trying to make everything work , I wouldn't be so disappointed, but here we are.
Third of all, we never actually get to see what happens toIzzy . All we get is that Sebastian is holding a hammer , then it fades to black. The next time we see her? She seems completely fine physically, crying over Max's body . We only find out what actually happened from Simon over 70 pages later! But by far the best part about it is that she was supposed to be knocked out WITH A HAMMER , but at no point do we get any kind of description of Izzy feeling unwell or dizzy, being hurt, bleeding, or anything else . It's like it never happened.
Next thing: not much actually happens. There's so little plot... within over 500 pages the only things that actually happen are:1. Clary finding that book, and giving it to Magnus. 2. The towers stop working. 3. A 10-minute battle. 4. A party.

But I'm actually glad I read this book cause we got a lot of Jimon moments, so there's that 😁
Moderate: Violence
Minor: Suicide
