This book took me a long time to rate, and I think that the main issue for me was the writing. The writing was very similar to the way that fairy tales are supposed to be written, but the beauty of a fairy tale is that it‘s relatively short and not 330ish pages long. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the story which kept me hooked, and I did get really invested in the characters. This is not a very coherent review, so I‘m going to stop here, but 3.5. I don‘t have much more to say.
