I really loved this book and honestly wish there had been more of it. I loved how Power told her characters' stories through the dolls, and wove the narratives together. I didn't know a whole lot going in about the Indigenous boarding school system in the US, but am familiar enough with the Canadian Residential School system to see the similarities. While this book was absolutely heartbreaking, it is really well-written and absolutely worth a read, even if at times it can feel almost too short.
