Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Now this was a novella that I could get behind. It was from a character who's point of view we had never read and it was from a time where the actual book series didn't cover. Basically, it added to the series itself.

Aiden and Alex...the lovers that can never be. When the inevitable happens, Aiden takes matters into his own hands even when some of his choices challenge his morals. And Alex isn't helping.

Not going to lie, I struggled with liking Aiden. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely swoonworthy, but I hated how he kept Alex dangling. The whole "we can't be together" followed by some line about how he can't stay away or how he'll randomly touch her intimately. It drove me nuts! But I did like how he stuck it out here and never gave up. The things he did tormented him (as it should have) but it was nice to know that he meant it when he said he would never leave her.
