Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
This is most definitely not YA, it is middle grade. Which is fine but I didn’t want to read a middle grade book and it feels very on the younger side of middle grade and just fell flat for me
The dialogue reminded me of Tracey Beaker, including ‘bog off’ being used! The bully was a caricature of a school bully, I kept laughing whenever she tried to be intimidating. ‘Who told you that you could be on my bus, square?’ Ooh, scary.
